Hey everyone! First time gardener here 🌱 I planted arugula on my balcony in France… and definitely overdid it with the seeds.

Now the little guys aren’t growing much. How many sprouts should I keep in the pot?
I read somewhere that they should be spaced about 15 cm apart… but if I do that, I’d be left with basically one lonely plant… 🥹

How do you thin arugula without murdering it all ? 🤣 I don't have many space, as the other part of my pot is filled with a family of radishes xD

I don’t think you have to. In my experience, greens like to be crowded.

I like to use scissors to cut seedlings off at the soil line to thin stuff out

Wait until you can tell which ones are getting too big to be together and pick one to cut. This will be fine for sprouts, but you might want to give the closest ones some space for greens
