The Arts Centre Hounslow has announced the 2026 Walled Garden Summer Season, unveiling its in-house repertory productions alongside the first part of this year’s visiting programme at Boston Manor Park.

Now entering its third year, the Walled Garden Summer Season has quickly established itself as a major cultural fixture in west London. In 2025, the season delivered 36 events to 3,950 audience members, created 28 new jobs, and generated 45 performing opportunities for young people

Building on that momentum, 2026 scales up again.

Jonathan Ashby-Rock, Artistic Director of The Arts Centre Hounslow, said: “It’s exciting to be able to scale up this season each year, and audiences are in for a treat this summer in the Walled Garden.”

The in-house repertory season

Produced by The Arts Centre Hounslow, the Walled Garden Rep Company returns with three productions performed in rotating repertory across seven weeks.

The Wind in the Willows
A fresh, family-focused staging of Kenneth Grahame’s classic tale. Riverside adventure, larger-than-life characters, and theatrical storytelling designed to welcome families into the heart of the season.

She Stoops to Conquer
Oliver Goldsmith’s fast-paced comedy of manners follows previous summer successes including The Importance of Being Earnest and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. A classic text built for bold performances and open-air laughter.

The Pirates of Penzance – Staged Concert
Gilbert and Sullivan’s comic operetta reimagined as a staged concert. Big ensemble numbers, sharp wit, and musical flair bring added scale to the Garden stage.

Together, the three productions form a true repertory model, sharing a single set and company, offering audiences variety across the summer while maintaining a cohesive artistic identity.

Visiting programme – first announcements

On summer evenings, the Garden hosts a curated series of one-night concerts and events.

The Simon & Garfunkel Story
A full-scale concert production charting the rise of the legendary folk-rock duo, complete with live band, projection, and a catalogue of era-defining songs including Mrs Robinson, The Sound of Silence and Bridge Over Troubled Water. A major touring production in an intimate open-air setting.

Dreamcoat Stars
A concert celebration of iconic West End and Broadway hits performed by leading musical theatre vocalists. High-impact vocals and a crowd-pleasing summer atmosphere.

The Carpenters Experience
A live concert tribute celebrating the music of The Carpenters, bringing rich harmonies and timeless classics to the Walled Garden stage.

Further comedy and music events will be announced in the coming months.

The Boston Manor Beer Festival
The season culminates in the return of the Boston Manor Beer Festival, held across the August Bank Holiday weekend.

The festival brings together independent breweries, street food traders, and live music, creating a large-scale community event within the park. In 2025, 12 local businesses were showcased and 36 musicians performed across the weekend.

The festival extends the cultural and economic impact of the Summer Season beyond theatre audiences, supporting local enterprise while maintaining a strong live performance focus. The 2026 edition will build on that success, expanding both the music offer and the number of participating businesses.

Organiser Peter Nolan said: “It’s all about the community and brewers connecting, and the hope is that throughout the year, local people will visit their local brewery bars and the connection carries on throughout the year.”
