Looked like the dragon was rotting so I pulled it up.

The core is full in tact and not squishy. After giving it a rinse, nothing g seems to be rotting.

There were a bunch of white bugs when I uprooted it; looks like they at the rotting flesh?

What’s your thought?

Yup I’ve had this happen where it rots and rolly pollies eat all the dead tissue without me noticing. I’ve not had it this extreme, but it looks very similar. I even see one in pic 3!

I’d carve it down to fresh core, sulfur and callous for a week before replanting to see if it gets any worse, and to make sure bugs are fine.

I think most people would chop but I like experimenting

That’s crazy I’d leave it to see what happens

I’m gonna tell you exactly what I would do… Since you’ve pulled it out and seen it you can’t un see it, blast that sucker with water, wash the roots and leave it out in the dryer in the air for a week or two then reinspect it make sure it’s not softer squishy other than dehydrated and then plant and new soil boom done,
