1. You should raise the pot up so it’s level with the bigger container or else you’re going to lose the pearls on the surface of the pot bc they’re not getting any light.
2. They’re only growing on one side because that’s the side the light is coming from.

Also, I chop off long “strings” and water propagate them (take 5-7 pearls off and put that part in the water. When roots grow to be several inches long, pop back in the pot to fill out the other side. Bonus: when they are trimmed regularly, SOPs grow in so much thicker and fuller and they look amazing. It’s a pretty fast process as long as they’re getting enough light. (Minimum of 1000 FC; 1500-2000 FC preferred for optimal growth)
