  1. Good afternoon Robbie,
What a wonderful surprise. I just got home from shopping at Walmart and get to watch a garden tour which I look forward to twice a month. ❤

  2. Those dog kennels would make a great green house if you live in a colder area. Put the plastic on it and grow green etc. Your garden looks great after years of hard work it has paid off.

  3. Good afternoon Robbie this is David from Bellflower thank you for the information that you gave me about the nursery in Norwalk🎉🎉❤

  4. It sounds sooo good about eating all those greens. Unfortunately my husband has “Facture 5” and cannot eat anything dark green. It causes blood clots. But I do enjoy your energy.

  5. Thank you for teaching me how to garden. This will be my fourth year. It gets bigger every year. We have a tiny yard, but grow a lot. We let butternut squash grow on and in our hedges. Our mailman likes seeing the progress when he brings our mail. Lol Thank you!

  6. My heart yearns for your weather; we are in the single digits over night and have a good foot of snow piled along the walk. Because it is so cold the snow is real pretty! Here andthere we get 3 weeks of real cold, but this year we have a nice blanket of snow with the cold.

  7. Happy February Robbie! I've been gardening with you for four years now. This year I can't do as much but I have three 18 gal totes and starting seeds in your small two paper cup method. Do you think the totes can accomodate Swiss chard, spinach, kale, collards and beet greens by layering? I'm using compost pitchers and I have tulle, stakes and tubing to make covers. Thank you for your many ideas to make gardening possible and affordable. Hi Gary! 👋

  8. The weeds are NOT sleeping under the snow! not here. They are growing gangbusters… it is supposed to warm up to 50 tomorrow, and a low of 10 tonight. Daffodils, lilies and irises and some others are up in spite of the cold. It was -2F last week… The snow puts nitrogen in the soil, and we have had a major drought since June/July. I appreciate the snow, even though it is very slippery walking. Maybe I can do some weeding, and plant some cool crops this week? There are still leaves to rake and put in my compost and containers… and the beds to clean up.

  9. Robbie please make sure he won't be embarrassed if we see his overgrown garden. I know as a woman I am embarrassed if company comes by and my home is messy! If it is just because he THINKS we don't want to see an over grown garden, well you can tell him we would still love to see how well he garden has grown!

  10. One day I watched a young hawk on my fence trying to figure how it could catch one of my protected chickens. It was quite funny because everyone of my chickens were also much bigger than the hawk was! It finally gave up and flew away empty clawed! Lol

  11. The only time I purchase seeds is if I don't already grow them. Or the seeds I grew were sterile and don't produce
    viable seed.

  12. Add perennials in your garden…. strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, Egyptian walking onions, herbs, and other stuff. They come back every year. Asparagus is also a perennial garden veggie and grows beautifully. Jerusalem artichokes are also perennials. Horseradish…

  13. Hello Robbie. Thank you for the garden tour and bird garden tour. It looks so beautiful green 💚 sanctuary. Beautiful bird paradise. Zoe doesn't like squirrels 😅 . I thought of kitty when you said you love broccoli 🥦 and you were by your plant. Zoe is so adorable. Say hey to Gary. Have a wonderful beautiful February 1st . 🥒🥦🥬🧄🧅🥜🍉🍊🫜🐿🕊🕊🐦🙂🤠👩‍🍳

  14. Roby
what do u think about grafting zucchini to fig leaf gourd to see if you can get never ending supply ?

Also will you be sharing with us the ratio of combining plants in totes?
Seen u do it once…. but I just don’t feel like i get it just yet..maybe seeing it again will sink in

18 gallon tote is a lil tight growing space when space is limited and want to grow a lot in a small space

  15. Beautiful as usual. I say no yo growing anything uo and over the kennels. I think it would create a mess w the squirrels getting up there, although, it would b easy pickings for the hawks. I dont know how you feel about morning glorys. I bet they would look awesome growing up parts of your wall. I know they reseed easily, but they are easy to control. Plus the hummers love tgem as well.❤❤❤😊🎉

  16. Your geraniums are enviable! And the whole property seems to be a living, breathing nursery for earth. ❤ to you & G!!! 🌏

  17. I would love to see Garys garden if he is ok with it! What a sweet sweet man he is, if he is genuinely not wanting people in his garden I understand…but if he is just being humble thinking we couldnt possibly want to see it oh Mr Gary please let us in! Im always curious about what he has in his garden. Thank you Robbie for this video, I always LOVE seeing all that you have growing!

  18. Good Morning Robbie, on your buckets o back of you plant kennel i would add potting soil and plant what i would like.

  19. I planted 1 little Thai basil in my garden in 2024, and in 2025 I had a forest of it. I LOVE it. The bees went bonkers in there. I planted in and around it and just enjoyed the smell every time I brushed it. I've been watching the cutest lil fat birds playing on it while waiting for the snow to melt. They bounce around on the dry stem to shake seeds loose and then hop down to eat.

  20. "I picked the last of my lettuce.
I'll have to grow more from seeds.
I ran out too early this year,
    To cater to my needs."

  21. I love fuschias. Lovely flowers and apparently they are edible, as are the berries. It's advised to remove the stamens from the flowers though. I looked it up, i haven't tried myself.

  22. Hello Robbie, I love your garden tours. I have a question. I am no longer able to find Tree collard or the kale trees 😢 but now I’m seeing that you can buy the seeds for them and I thought the only way you could actually grow them was from a stem. please can you give some advice on this. I am a member and I would love for you to do another training YouTube on the tree collard oh how I hope you see this. I’ve asked this a few times, but I don’t give up you know why because I eat what I grow. OK have a good one thank you in advance.

  23. I love all you grow and tips, but in this video the geraniums got my attention ❤

  24. Thank-you for such an encouraging video. Seems like winter is endless sometimes, missing the birds and your videos are so wonderful🙂

  25. HI Robbie, your flower garden is starting to look like mine. Im proud of you. Those hummingbirds love the birdbaths, and feeders, but the flowers. They really love…it would be so fun to have Hummingbirds year around, but we share them with you when they come North. Im certain some must come to my home from yours. I dont know if Gary has found the canna that has the smaller orange and yellow blooms they love the best but if he wants a few bulbs, I should have a few extra.. I could share..let me know. Im certain you have enough flowers. Im happy to see firecrackers. (Vermillionaire) all over your garden. One vine that grows great from down south and produces tons of blooms summers love is spanish flag vine but be warned it could cover a wall or huge trellis, it takes a bit to start blooming but worth it.

  26. I just found you tonight and have been watching all the videos I can. Where do you buy all the chairs and aren't they expensive? I have squirrels too, what don't they climb into the totes? I have some that get into my containers I have flowers in and they bury walnuts and I have no idea where they are getting the walnuts from. It looks like you have a huge property. How do you water everything with such hot weather? I live in WA state and in the summer I have to water every day by hand as I don't have drip or sprinkler system.

  27. I haven’t watch for a year and just found your wonderful channel again and your garden has grown so much especially Gary’s garden.hello from Australia 🇦🇺 and I’m watching all your old videos I missed tonight.

  28. If he truly doesn't want us to see his overgrown garden, that would be good to honor that. But, let him know that I, and probably a lot more gardeners would really love to see how he takes care of the overgrowth. Maybe he can help us tackle our own overgrown gardens. ❤

  29. I have three bathtubs in my yard. I grew sweet potatoes in one of them last year! The yield from this crop was outstanding. One of them I compost in and get garden tea from it.
