Boy these guys sure do grow fast and eat a lot if you don't catch them right away. Bacillus thuringiensis seems effective.

    BT is good for when you get them and insect netting is good to prevent them.

    I use insect netting or row cover.

    Everyone swears by BT but I remember being out every evening spraying with it during a bad infestation and I just couldn’t get rid of them. Maybe spray before there’s a problem? Hopefully other gardeners will know.
