Chia seeds growing in lawn dead zones

I have small apartment porch. Nothing will grow in the ground because of the privacy fence and tree blocking light. I think it’s neat how chia seeds took even in crevices of the tree trunk. I don’t think they’ll get enough light to be permanent though.
