there was one crash that went from 5.9 to 4.9 in 1 day , is there any reasoning for this? My water temps stay between 67-70 at most , light is 25 inches away at 65% & growing inna 3×3 & they seem to like a light feed around 280 ppm which seems small for these plants ( 28 days old from seed ) & the roots are pure white with no slime.

How long after adjusting ph do you check it?

What’s your medium you’re in? I just had this happen to me. Best way to correct it is to use math and figure out what to do to get the ph in the root zone correct. Also finding the root cause is usually the answer.

Increasing ppm will help hold ph. Running either a beneficial bacteria or sterile with peroxide/bleach will help ensure no rot problems develop. Water source could be an issue also.

Which pH regulator do you use?
If you use nitric acid (HNO3), the plant may absorb the nitrogen group of the acid because it needs nitrogen. What EC/ppm value do you use? It is possible that you should increase the nutrient dose (especially nitrogen).
