Hi Robbie. You have two doors, so move both. One door on each side. You can always block the door you're not using, just like you do now.

Another vote for the door in the middle, on the side that works for you.. Larger totes on both ends will be a nice balance particularly if the plants vine upwards.

Oh I love your idea of changing the door. When I was setting mine up i thought about putting the door in the middle, but I didn't do it. I haven't got mine wrapped with the quarter inch wire yet so I could still do it. I'm wondering though since mine is only the single unit, 8x4x6, is it worth it. I could potentially get another 18 gal tote in there and have more growing space. I live in the desert of So Az so I will be putting shade cloth on mine. Anyway I say do it and maybe I will tooπ―πππ―
I'd leave the doors, remove 2 of the panels in the middle and place your other dog kennels' door butt up against the removed panels to form a "T" shape, if you have the room and if I heard you correctly about having another kennel.
Isn't there a door on the other end that is never used, and you can move? Then, if you change your mind, you still have that most used door in its original spot. Hope that made sense.

If you had 4 kennels and put them together in a square, instead of a long rectangle, and put two doors side by side for "one" point of entrance, then perhaps you could do a U-shaped set up inside like your rainbow chair garden. Also, if you mirrored the chair garden inside the kennels you could also do the double layer with the chair totes above and the dish pan planters below to catch the water runoff. Just a thought. That would give you room to walk/turn around and for watering. So basically creating a square "room" with 4 kennels.
