I've heard so many people that have had issues with this plant, I got this as a challenge for myself but she is literally my easiest plant. She literally will tell me when she is thirsty by the leaves starting to fold down the middle, and she even shot out 2 new leaves in the same week that I brought her home. I bought her 2, almost 3 weeks ago and as you can see in the photo she has another new baby coming in since the previous 2 new leaves. The brown tips came from the previous owner but I haven't even had any new browning or anything.

Now, I'm also wondering how can I tell when she is due for a repot, how do you propagate these, and also what is your personal favorite soil mix for this plant. Thank you for reading!

    Congrats
I bought one years ago and didn’t know a thing. I learned a lot about plants due to her, she is thriving. I repotted it one and when I did I decided to look up how to prop it. Divided it up. I put one in soil, one in water. Both are doing great. I will repot it again in 2 years. My main large one.
It definitely talks to me. I check them all each morning when having coffee.

I actually love the calathea/stromanthe/marantas because they’re such good communicators. Beautiful plant!

My triostars are also some of my easiest and grow so fast. I have one that’s gone from a 4” pot to a 12” in just two years.

Super chill plant. A friend found a stromanthe thalia in pretty rough shape and took it to work. I was expecting a complete drama queen, but it’s been the exact opposite. Cut a few ruined leaves, gave it a pre-emptive treatment for thrips and it’s been pushing out new leaves non-stop. Like 2-3 simultaneously. As soon as they are fully opened, a couple more are already poking out.
