So I chopped both my flfs when they hit 12-15 feet. Last year. But. I now regret not being braver and cutting them shorter.
They branched beautifully- from the top. I’m debating if I should chop all the new growth off and see if I can get them to branch lower and fill out lower.
Because I’ll have to chop at least one because I don’t want to move it again.
You can see the spot I cut last time is right under the bookshelf. But it’s going to outgrow the window and grow light above this year again.
What do you suggest? My other one is in the same boat. Above the window but it’s a taller ceiling. But just not enough room forever to have good light. Last time the plant suffered when some leaves didn’t have enough light.

Just keep chopping OP! I’m in the same boat with mine. She’s hitting my 10ft ceiling and is due for a chop. You can also pinch off the new buds to promote branching also.
