Hey everyone. I'm very new to gardening so please be kind. ☺️
These are kent pumpkins that I have going. They were planted in January and were doing really well to start.
Then I noticed the one at the front just wasn't matching the same growing speed as the other two and then he got to this stage and I've ended up pulling him from the plot since I didn't want to risk infecting the healthier ones.
However I've gradually started to notice discolouration on the other two and it has me really worried. I've put in so much time and care already towards these little guys and it would crush me to see them die.
My brother in law said something about how maybe it's due to them being seeds from store bought pumpkins, but I have heard success stories of people growing plants from store bought fruit and vegetables AND my tomato and capsicum plants are looking fairly healthy which were also from store bought.
If anyone would have any advice or insight it would be greatly appreciated!!!

Are these planted in a styrofoam container less than a meter apart? That’s probably your issue. Pumpkins need space. And styrofoam is going to fuck up the moisture. They are also planted way too low in the container. Potted plants should be in soil up to about an inch or so below the edge of the vessel so that they aren’t having the sunlight blocked

Also seeds from store bought pumpkins is going to be a potential issue from fruit as most store bought varieties are hybrids so they won’t grow true to seed for the next generation
