Hi everyone, this is my first succulent I bought at the supermarket.

Is it normal for the lower leaves to dry out?

Thank you so much 🥰🙏🏻

Lower leaves get reabsorbed which is natural. But other leaves are showing signs of thirst

A quick tip!! The waxy stuff on the leaves is called farina. It looks like a bunch is wiped off on yours & has thumb prints on it. It’s a part of the plant & it protects the plant from sunburn/acts as a waterproof barrier, aides in pest protection, helps prevent damage to the leaves, & probably more.

Try not to wipe it off. It’s a good thing!! Your PVN will thank you

Also, old leaves die from the bottom up. That’s just how succulents grow. Yours does not look thirsty
