I knew you were going with the Kewalo tomato when you said tried and true! I'm trying a butternut squash for the first time and would love to try growing Seminole pumpkin but I don't think it'll work with my limited space.
I have had better luck with Contender Green Beans than with Jade. Zone 9b. Have you grown Floridade tomatoes?
I am trying the David the good landrace watermelon this year as well! We will have to compare what we get.

I'm enjoying Hoss seeds, too. Their germination rates are amazing.
When did you start these seeds. I find that the stink bugs inundate my tomatoes near the summertime , but with the cold snap my maters 😢😢😢.
I am a true Hoss Tools fan, have been for years. But I find germination problems with the Hossinator series. When I can get them to germinate, transplanting success is hit or miss. I really want them to work.
I've been wanting to suggest Hoss to you for years and haven't. I love their seeds and customer service (and videos). How do you grow chamomile this time of year? I dont have luck.

I can totally vouch for Hoss bell pepper seeds! They did very well for me last summer 😊

I plant way too many varieties of tomatoes. Bella Rosa, Phoenix and Red Snapper are my heat tolerant varieties
Your videos are always so educational and the planner is super helpful 🙂 So much goes into companion plants: like making a seating chart for a wedding! Could we plant edible plants whose flowers attract pollinators (instead of the non edible plants like gomphrena and snapdragons whose flowers attract pollinators)?
I've had wonderful luck with beit alpha cucumbers and they cope with the heat pretty well. I grew them till around August
With the bush beans the thing I learned that helped a lot is mix sand in the soil and fertilize with fish guts

If I had limited space like you do, I might, I say might, plan more. But my property across the road is 3 1/2 acres of raw land, all dedicated to growing food. My gardening technique would drive you nuts probably.
Now… don't get me wrong, I have a very successful garden, but I plan nothing! I plant only things I like to eat, which is pretty much anything, and other than that, I keep it well maintained and harvest, eat, and preserve what it provides. I don't even keep up with varieties.
Looking at your calendar when to plant your crops and seeing the max time to harvest in Florida is in May … and me living in zone 5a (in Montreal, Canada) telling myself : "I've to wait until end of April – Beginning of May to plant it outside". You can't make this up.
But I've bought an indoor culture tent just to give me an excuse to plant whatever I want to plant even when it's 6 feet of snow covering the backyard and like 10-15 degrees Fahrenheit outside.
I'll focus this year on peppers and tomatoes, especially early producers that are resisting to warmer temperature.
Also, once I'll start planting outside, I think I'll integrate your idea of pairing plants with flowers so that it'll protect some of my crops from common pests that are attacking them.
