


In the wild, Buttonbush grows on the edge of water.
There is no water anywhere near my property, but you can see the bush likes it here just fine. We throw the birdbath water on it every day, but I don't think that makes a big difference.
When it blooms, it is a show piece. Every bug comes to feed here. Other times, it is a wonderful shady cover for all the little birds.
Last year several Brown Eyed Susan's grew through it's branches. That made for nice contrast.

Is this one button bush? I may have underestimated their size when I put two in front of my house
I got one of these at a native sale last fall. It’s only a few feet but I’m excited to see what it becomes!
