Perrywood Tiptree was just pipped to the top spot at the Garden Centre Association (GCA) annual awards gala.
It makes Perrywood one of just 10 garden centres of excellence across the country.
The GCA carries out annual unannounced inspections of all its members to compile the league table.
They are scored on customer service, merchandising, sustainability, creativity and innovation, quality, range of products, and other categories.
Perrywood director Simon Bourne said: “This achievement reflects the dedication of our wonderful team.
“Our two plant awards show how we are leading the industry with our ranges, standards and creativity, helping us achieve our vision to get more plants in people’s lives.
“To be in the top three garden centres in the UK for the second year in a row is an incredible achievement.
“We have more to offer in 2026 and can’t wait to share some unmissable seasonal moments with our customers.”
