Shoppers looking for ideas to spruce up their homes and yards can find everything from interior design help to tree-planting advice this weekend at the Hapo Center’s home and garden show.

The event started today and includes vendors focused on both indoor and outdoor needs, including a new type of garden hose. Nichols described the hose as “designed to turn on and off in both directions much like a fireman’s nozzle for your house.” Nichols said the hose offers multiple settings, adding, “You got misters, from there you’re going to go into high pressure for your cutters, you’re going to drive away, fan it out, wash the car in the boat, maybe you have livestock, nice shower for windows and solar panels, cotton plants and seedlings, and off.” Nichols said the benefit is that “you don’t have to cycle through it twice,” because “it turns off in each direction.”

The show also features food vendors, including local coffee roasters and beef jerky outlets. Madrigal highlighted a seasonal option, saying, “This one’s just for Valentine’s Day. Chocolate strawberry.” Madrigal added, “Sounds wild, doesn’t sound like it works, but genius Bob figured it out,” before urging people to sample it: “Okay. Give that a try. Chocolate strawberry.” After tasting, Madrigal said, “Is that amazing or what? That’s nuts.”

The event runs through Sunday. Ticketing information is available at hapocenter.com.
