“Be creative, make your own arrangement, pick out your own stuff, and then you can feel creative enough to be able to do whatever you want,” Diana Thompson said.

BENTONVILLE, Ark — On this episode of Around the Corner, Jo and Tiffany crafted the perfect bouquet at Samantha’s Garden in Bentonville just in time for Valentine’s Day.

“Come, be creative, make your own arrangement, pick out your own stuff, and then you can feel creative enough to be able to do whatever you want,” owner Diana Thompson said.

Tiffany and Jo took a class led by Diana. She instructed them to pick out the flowers that called to them, and let the creativity flow.

“We believe that we’re made in God’s image, therefore we’re made to create,” she said. “What we’re going to do today is we’re going to walk into our cooler, and you’re only going to pick things that you’re drawn to. That is what’s going to create your recipe for your reason.”

As you can imagine, Tiffany was drawn to all the pink flowers. Once the flowers were picked out, the crew moved on to assembling their selections. During the process, Diana shared background on how Samantha’s Garden came to be.

“Samantha’s Garden is literally a ministry before it is a business,” she said.

Diana said she and her husband, who have been married for 30 years, made the difficult decision to abort their first child.

“It’s been a long journey of healing from that, and the way the Lord did it, he used gardening as a form of therapy,” Diana said.

Samantha’s Garden offers workshops throughout the year at their Bentonville location at 2606 E Central Ave. and are planning to expand to Springdale.

Their Springdale location will be at 501 W B Emma Ave. A grand opening is set for Feb. 28 at 6 p.m. Those attending should plan to wear an outfit where they have “nowhere to wear.”
