We are gardening on a budget this year and part of that means reducing spending on supplies wherever we can.
I posted in a local Facebook group asking if anyone had seed starting trays or pots they were no longer using and someone kindly answered. In this vlog I go through everything I was given, count it all out and really take my first look at what this generous man shared with us.
Next up I will be cleaning and sanitizing all of these pots as I go. If you would like me to share that process with you or follow along as I hopefully save some of my dahlia tubers, now that I finally have proper pots, let me know in the comments.

A little blurb about us: Little Farm Big Dreams is a Canadian-based channel. We are located in Ontario in zone 5B, sharing our personal journey about starting a homestead in our 50’s. From gardening, food preservation, slow living, eating gluten free (due to Celiac Disease) and embracing the beauty of doing things the old-fashioned way to simply sharing our day to day lives…we hope you’ll come along for the ride! We’re not experts—just a family (well, we’re empty nesters now) learning as we go.Everything we demonstrate or discuss reflects our own experiences and what works for us — it should not be taken as professional advice or instruction. We encourage all viewers to do their own research and consult qualified professionals or trusted resources when attempting any of the activities shown in our videos.

Yay! Love free supplies! ❤
Hi Denise, those bugs look like box elder bugs.
Wow. Wonderful! Such a great way to get supplies you need! 🎉🎉🎉
Yes please! I'd like to see how you land on sanitizing. It's always been a big question for me. Also – "I wish I had my reading glasses" – HAHAHAHA! Check behind your ears! HAHAHA!
Grosse job qui s en vient🤦♀️
Love your commitment to reuse!
Hello sweet Denise! I really get excited when I see a new vlog post!
By the way, the size of the pot is actually the circumference of the top, so measure the distance across the top, not the bottom. 😊
