Residents are invited to take part in an island-wide gardening workshop where they will learn to grow their own food, eat healthier and save money.
The Ministry of Health said the Grow, Eat, $ave workshop will run from February 19 to April 29.
Its 2026 series, which will be led by Kevin Santucci, includes an island-wide component as well as a cohort that targets Devonshire residents.
Participants will gain practical, beginner-friendly skills including soil preparation, seed planting, composting, natural pest remedies, and other techniques to support successful home gardening.
Kim Wilson, the Minister of Health, said: “Grow, Eat, $ave offers a positive and practical solution to rising food prices and the growing concern around food affordability.
“It empowers residents to grow their own food, reduce grocery costs and improve their health.
“The Grow, Eat, $ave workshop goes beyond gardening. It equips families with the skills and confidence to strengthen food security across our community.”
A government spokeswoman said the campaign is part of the ministry’s continued commitment to support healthier lifestyles, reducing household food costs and strengthening the island’s resilience through community education.
Spaces are limited and participants have until midday on February 18 to register at Forms.office.com.
