Hello! I need some advice for next steps on this ring of fire philo. I picked them up from the pound (aka home depot during the winter months) because look at it! Unfortunately, most of the leaves were mushy by the root of the plant, and as youll see in the next pic, only one leaf remained. The roots are good, no root rot, or issues etc, just over watered at home depot. The pot is designed for butt chug(bottom watering) but they also watered the top, so we are in the process of drying out.
My question is: what is my best strategy for revival? In my research, everyone is saying propagation, but thats if the plant has some leaves. Im wondering how to revive it with one, or none, leaves.
I realize the risks with taking plants during a Chicago winter, but i think this plant can bounce back. Any advice would be welcomed, thank you!

Edit: for context, it dropped its leaves within 2 days of being home, we didnt repot until we realized how bad the leaves were. Thanks!
I don’t like this pot at all, have you taken it out of the soil? Send pics of the roots please.
If you take it out of the soil and check for rotten roots, you can try to nurse it back to health in water. Please cut all the rotten parts off with a disinfected blade.
The plant needs as much light as you can offer in winter, especially with propagation.
If the single leaf is not surviving, you can try with perlite in a closed and humid container.
