Wilson Landscapes Ltd is marking the first anniversary of its landscape display showroom – the largest of its kind in the town – with a garden transformation giveaway for one well-deserving local family.

The giveaway is open to families living in Swindon and the surrounding areas who feel that a new garden could change their lives.

Director Nathan Wilson said: “Giving back has always been rooted in who we are.

“We know that for many people, a garden is more than just an outdoor space.

“It can be a sanctuary. A safe place for children to play. A peaceful setting for someone recovering from illness. A space to reconnect as a family after difficult times.

“But for some, their garden may currently be unusable, unsafe, or simply overwhelming to manage due to circumstances beyond their control.

“This isn’t about promotion; it’s about people.”

The team wants to use their skills to make a meaningful difference in the community as a way of thanking Swindon for supporting the award-winning business over the years.

Families are invited to share their story and explain how a professionally designed and landscaped garden could impact their lives.

Mr Wilson added: “Would it give a child with additional needs a secure place to play?

“Offer a space for rehabilitation and recovery?

“Provide a much-needed fresh start after a challenging chapter?

“Sometimes, the right environment can help a family grow in ways they never imagined.”

The team is also calling on local suppliers and tradespeople to get involved and help make the transformation possible.

The firm has taken part in previous charity builds, including schemes with the DIY SOS team, and says that those projects showed them the power of changing a space to transform lives.

Entries are not being judged on the scale of the transformation needed, but on the stories and circumstances that a new garden could help to improve.

Last March, the company’s new showroom near the A420 was officially opened by celebrity gardener Charlie Dimmock, who cut the ribbon, met fans, had a look around the premises, and tried out a virtual reality headset that allows customers to see their designs in 3D.

Anyone wishing to nominate themselves or someone else for the garden makeover can call 01793 261 982 or send a WhatsApp message to 07473 326 078.
