I’ve been using maxigrow and I think this is the first time I’ve completely changed the water. I added more food this time and it raised the salt level to about 1000 over where it was before but the pH was at like four so I put in some pH up and now it’s at five.

The food seems to turn the water, a reddish brown color. The roots aren’t slimy and they don’t smell, but as you can see, they went from beautiful to wilted and stressed. And it’s definitely something I did with the food because it happened like right after.

Does anybody have any idea? I’m thinking probably the salt going way up in addition to me having to wait for the pH correction to take affect.

Consider your EC / PPM level. Then give them time to figure it out. Takes plants a couple days to deal with a shock. Changing the water counts but so does a big change in nutrient availability.

The roots look fine, usually this is a sign that the ph is off. Keep checking it. The only downside is that even when they come back they may have some scalding on the leaf tips.
