I inherited this greenhouse when I moved in to my house in August.

Advice on how to utilise the space? – Iโ€™m totally new to this!

Thank you!

Reddit has an r/greenhouses that you might get some advice on.

Youโ€™ll want to learn a bit about airflow. Are there roof vents?

Lovely space. Go buy a few packet of seeds and experiment this year!

Oh my god Iโ€™m so envious of this space

Paint the backwall in a dark color to catch more heat. Automate your ventillation/temperatures. And enjoy a glass of your favorite beverage or have a smoke, whatever you do to chill.

Do you have space outside as well to plant or just the green house?

You lucky, lucky git.. fabulous ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช

Having a way to vent hot air out of the top is important. You can get fans that turn on or windows that auto open above certain temps.

Give it to me. Iโ€™ll take it off your handsโ€ฆ

I saw your comment that you would like lots of flowers. I like vegetable gardens more than flowers. But! Herbs are always useful at home for cooking and they look really nice when they flower/bolt. I think they would be a nice addition to your flowers ๐Ÿ’๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒฟ

Also, I dream about this space! โค

Beautiful space! That there are raised beds is great! Under The wood tables is a great place to store tools and the like! Enjoy! Have fun!

I am jealous of that greenhouse.
I do trial and error for my gardening so do NOT be discouraged if plants die, it takes a while to find the right combination of soil, fertilizer, and watering.

Some of my plants do better when I neglect them. LOL

Oh man, that’s awesome. Hot compost box along the wall, drainage for the floor (if it isn’t already fully draining), amend the soil in the grow boxes for aromatic herbs, small annuals, or even for mixing my own soil in the bed itself. Shade cloth hangers for partial cooling in summer, start collecting clean pallets to begin repairing/replacing the wood on the back bench. So many gifts in one space. Enjoy and know there are thousands of us that are green with envy.

If it was me I would spend all my time to rapidly fill that space but since you are new, start small. One plant at a time, herbs and spices are a good place to start.

  23. BeefcakeBeige

Start small. Keep a journal and write down what youโ€™re doing. Clean everything before you start. Try some plant starts, seeds, and find one special plant you just have to try. Accept now that you may fail on some things. Remind yourself that this is a race, and not a sprint. Enjoy.

Looks great for seed starting and propagation, overwintering perennials, has a potting table in back. Tropicals would enjoy it in the summer. Looks like a dream, seriously, enjoy.

Dude thatโ€™s legit! Greenhouses are great for things you want all year like herbs. It depends on your climate for when and what you plant. Most people use greenhouses to start seeds early so when itโ€™s warm enough they can transfer plants to outside. A great channel that I watch is [Epic Gardening](https://youtube.com/@epicgardening?si=LFEvArvMENxwrPaK) and they have a lot of good info in multiple zones and lots of beginner stuff!

My advice is to fill that greenhouse to the brim with plants, lmao! Start off by potting up ten million rinoculus bulbs.
