The LSU AgCenter and the School of Plant, Environmental and Soil Sciences will present the 24th annual Baton Rouge Spring Garden Show and Plant Sale from March 6-8, at the John M. Parker Coliseum on the LSU campus.

The show will open Friday, March 6, from 5 to 8 p.m., with evening shopping and entertainment, including a live jazz trio from the LSU School of Music. The full event continues Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Throughout the weekend, visitors can explore a wide selection of plants for home gardens and landscapes, along with an array of garden-related merchandise, outdoor decor and specialty items offered by regional vendors.

This year’s show will feature a diverse mix of plant offerings—vegetables, herbs, flowers, native species, fruit trees and more—providing gardeners of all experience levels the opportunity to find everything they need for the spring season in one convenient location.

Additional attractions include the popular bonsai exhibitor, and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. there will be an antique Corvette display.

An “ask the experts” table staffed by LSU AgCenter extension agents and faculty will be available to help answer gardening questions, and a children’s area will offer activities for younger visitors.

Food and refreshments will be available from Elsa’s Cuban Kitchen, City Gelato and Sneaux to Geaux.

General admission is $10 (cash only) for adults, and children 12 and under are admitted free. LSU and Southern University students receive free admission with a valid student ID. Tickets are available at the door.

Vendor registration remains open, and spaces will continue to be filled through the day of the event as long as availability remains. Twenty-five vendor slots are still open.
