should I cut off and transplant the medium branch below?
this is my favorite plant, and I want to clone it, just a bit scared 😬
also, have no idea how the new little growth is gonna look, growing at that point, is it even a branch?

don't think the container can support much larger growth anymore…

It’s your prerogative. If you want a clone then yes cut off the lowest branch.

The new branch will look great and head up vertically once it produces more. Yes it is a branch.

And that container should be able to support that plant for a while. It’s not so much the branches, but the vertical growth that may top of the container.

That cactus will need a bigger container and possibly some stability support. If you want to clone Let that pup grow a bit larger before pulling it downwards away from the main stem and slicing flush with where the ariole used to be. You can also let it grow larger and that will greater the overhaul energy presentin your clone.
