Dobbies in Ayr is one of the company’s first locations to unveil the refreshed concept, with plans to roll it out to 47 more stores.

The new foodhall features more than 2,000 products.

Marcel Oszczpala, general manager at Dobbies Ayr, said: “The foodhall is one of the most popular areas in the store and an important part of our garden centre experience.

“We’ve been working hard on the new format that’s inspired by a cottage kitchen garden and brings together essentials, treats and seasonal variety through a range of both popular and new brands.

“We’re excited to welcome customers in to see the new ranges and try them for themselves.”

The launch follows customer feedback from the Ayr community and includes both the food range and the overall shopping experience.

Visitors can enjoy launch offers including 30 per cent off Farmhouse biscuits and Belgid’Or chocolates, and 20 per cent off Coolmore cakes.

A wider range of gift foods is now available, including gin gift packs and all-natural handmade beverages from Hullabaloo.

The foodhall also offers foods from around the world. Chilled deli options include cheese, olives, and dips.

New brands like Botham’s of Whitby and Patteson’s feature alongside Dobbies’ famous scones and tray bakes.

Customers will also find biscuits, chocolates, and snacks. The format includes frozen foods from brands such as Cook and FieldGoods.

To celebrate the launch, one shopper will have the chance to win a hamper during the opening weekend.
