Hello, just bought a house and the water is pooling and moving towards edges sometime. I can’t tell if it was originally built this way, but the stones are uneven in layout. Is there any easy fix or is it normal? This is after a night of rain – there are two drains in the middle of this patio area that got rid of most water, but the un even stones seem to be holding some water.

That seems bad. Freak rainstorms happen that will bring many times that volume of water, so whatever you can do to fix this now could save you from a flood in the future.
It looks like they dealt with this by adding drainage. Figure out where that grate goes, if it is actually functional and diverts the water away from the house you are fine. That pooling is minimal. I wouldn’t worry unless mosquitoes start breeding in it.
