I have this box of corms and the perlit is getting full with perlit, can I spray it with hydrogen peroxide or will it harm the roots of the plants? When yes should I mix it with like water? When no what can I do else? Because the algae is looking pretty bad.

Yes you can spray it and try to stay clear of leaves. let it air out, don’t put under a grow light right after. Can also put it in your watering too. I’ve also sprayed my corms just not the leaf

I’ve never had an any negative issues caused from algae build up. I personally would just leave it be. However, a small amount of hydrogen peroxide diluted with water shouldn’t cause any issues. Hydrogen peroxide can be added to water propagations to help prevent rot so it would think it would be fine in this setup too. I’d be curious if anyone one here has tried that with perlite. I’ve only tried it with water and with moss.

I’d give it a good flush after the hydrogen peroxide does its thing to remove the dead organic matter. Less is more as well! Your roots will be delicate.
