What should I do with my ugly trailer?

I’ve had this Champagne Pink trailer since June and it’s growing so weird. There’s a tall, thick stalk that currently has a bunch of little leaves but looks nothing like some of the beautiful Champagne Pinks I’ve seen here.

And I doing something wrong or do I need to be more patient and let the multiple crowns develop to give it a fuller look?

Since inevitably someone will comment on the pot- it’s not terracotta. It’s a plastic Oyama planter made for violets.
