I’m currently redesigning my landscaping and need to address a high-velocity runoff issue. Rainwater is shedding directly off the roof tiles into a specific planter bed, causing significant soil erosion and mulch displacement. What drainage or hardscaping solutions would you recommend to mitigate this?

You could place some 4-5″ rocks in that spot to reduce the damage. Or, as already mentioned, gutters. Also, not sure this would work in this particular setting, but some designers will install a heavy chain, or two, sure by side to slow the flow down. It has to be mounted at the roof to allow the water to flow over the chain(s) and down. Like I said, this may not work for your setting but I wanted to mention it. Good luck
