CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Piedmont Master Gardeners is offering grants ranging from $100 to $500 to encourage K-12 students to take up gardening.
Public and private school educators as well as non-profit organizations can apply on the Piedmont Master Gardeners website.
“To see their faces when they get involved in gardening activities and they see the fruit of their labor it’s really very impressive and it really is a learning opportunity for the kids,” said Marie Callahan, a Piedmont Master Gardeners volunteer.
Applicant guidelines can be found here and are due March 6.
