Would you grow this one?! One of our favorite seedlings 🌸 woke up the tubers for this one this week, It will be a 3rd year seedling this season, 🤞🏼crossing our fingers that it will stay consistent! So far it’s made beautiful tubers, long strong stems, great vase life for the form, and such a cool color!

(For those that don’t know dahlia seedlings can change year to year, so important to grow for a few years to watch them and make sure they are stable) so not getting our hopes up yet, but we love it so far! 🩷 growing soooo many more seedling this year- can’t wait!

This is an automatic reminder regarding r/dahlias Rule 3:

When reasonable*, posters should make a good-faith effort to identify which variety/varieties are shown in their photo(s). If you don’t know for certain, please say so. Someone will usually know!

*Common-sense exceptions to this rule will be honored, such as if the photo does not contain a blossom, or if your photo contains large volumes (such as in wide field shots).

If you’ve already done this, thank you! No further action required.

If not, please add a reply to this comment and confirm if you know the name of your dahlia variety/varieties shown in the photo(s). Alternately, if you’re uncertain of the variety name(s), it’s ok to say that, too.

I absolutely would grow this! I prefer dahlias (and flowers generally) that have some colour variation. I think it makes them more versatile and can be a beautiful feature.

I was actually looking at dahlia tubers recently and I think I saw one that is similar. I’ll have to go back and see if I can find the name. I really should order some, lol.

    It’s lovely! I’d be interested.

Was thinking about ordering some tubers, but they are about $20 for one. I know it probably varies, but how many flowers can you expect to get from one tuber? I know there are many factors.

Absolutely gorgeous! It is the COOLEST thing ever to me that you grew this from a tiny seed. I am getting so much enjoyment from growing from seed. Did you collect the seed yourself or did you purchase it in a seed packet from somewhere?

    It’s really lovely. I’d buy a tuber.
