No, long avocados are real, but the chance that this is just a stolen picture and it’s still a scam where they just send you a regular avocado plant is quite high. It’s not like you are going to notice until a decade has passed and that webshop is probably gone long before that.
Pretty sure I saw this exact pic here on reddit a few times already.

There are many more types of avocados than we get around the world, its just that basically none of them except the ones yoy find in the grocery store can travel or handle storage well. There’s a LOT of produce like this. Look up native berries and fruits in your area.

No it’s not AI. As everyone else said, they exist 🥰 This is why I don’t like AI. It’s gotten to a point where so many will question things they aren’t knowledgeable about and be unable to tell the difference between what’s real or fake, thinking it’s AI. 😂😩

Real but most avocados don’t taste like Hass. Every other type is less tasty and different texture. It is worth to have an avocado tree of any kind, but not to sell.

FWIW, I have seen this exact picture floated around for over a decade. I wouldn’t trust this listing even though long neck avocados are certainly real.

Russel / Russell avocado look like that, the trees are not rare or special in anyway, the fruit just looks like that
they are more common then you think, the avocado are some of the most buttery but have a weakness to root rot.
Always buy from a registered nursery
