Hello!

I treated this Alocasia baginda "silver dragon" for spider mites a few days ago. It was next to another plant that had spider mites, even though I never saw any on this Alocasia.
Because it's newest leaf is deformed, I took it out of the pot for a good look at the roots, and found this wriggling mass of, what I assume are some type of larvae. It's disgusting.
Does anybody have any idea what these could be?
What should I do?
Thanks!

    Springtails 🥳🥳
They’re detritivores, so they eat decaying matter, in short : friends (◍•ᴗ•◍)✧*。

(I have a lot of them in my closed terrarium, they do all of the maintenance (◍•ᴗ•◍)✧*。)

Amazing …. There’s actually an r/springtails. And the one thread I was on has been going for over 3 years …. There’s some info that popped up about springtails and plants. Not sure how it got there🙄 but I bet if you go to that page and search for plants and springtails, you’ll see it.

I pay money to get springtails and you just got a thriving colony for free 🫠
