How:

– the 3 Ds: remove everything that is Dying, Diseased, or growing in the wrong Direction.

– Cut back remaining canes by about 2/3. Make your cuts above an outward facing node and at an angle.

– Remove all leaves from branches and that are fallen in the pot to reduce transfer of fungus and disease.
