A few months ago I posted a series of sculptures I was making based around the toxicity of the culture around grass lawns. This community was incredibly supportive about the work! I made a small version of one of the pieces that I'm auctioning off for the highest donation to orgs on the ground supporting MN right now.
The auction is going on right now in the comments on this instagram post: https://www.instagram.com/p/DUlOG1OkWJY/?img_index=1 (if you would like to bid but don't have an Instagram account, contact me with your bid and info and I will place it for you by proxy.) Full info in the pinned post on my profile.
"Are You Feeling Lucky? II" is 4x5x5" and displayed in a glass dome with a wooden base. The clover and clover flower are painstakingly handmade with crepe paper, paint, wire, and pigment. The green army man has been sculpturally altered so he now wields a spray bottle of herbicide.
Materials: Crepe paper, acrylic paint, wire, clay, pigment, resin, artificial turf, green army man toy, glass dome with wood base.
