Hi everyone! I really appreciate your help with my two new plants.
I bought a palm and a dracaena from IKEA four days ago. They looked fine at the time, and I didn’t notice anything unusual. It was −10°C outside, so they spent about 10–15 minutes in the cold while I was putting them into the car and then bringing them home.
They are now in a room with 23°C and 46% humidity. They’re near a window. There’s no draft, but it’s probably a bit colder close to the glass.
I’ve watered the plants twice. There’s no water sitting under the pots, so I don’t think I’ve severely overwatered them.
Yesterday I noticed spots on the palm leaves, and they became slightly flaccid. Today I noticed similar spots on the dracaena. I don’t see any insects. I’m worried that it could be a pests infection.
I have a 4 years old monstera about 1.5 metres away from the palm, and it is healthy.
Could you please share your thoughts on what might be causing these spots? What could be the reason, how can I identify the problem, and how can I fix it?
