I got this monstera from Lowe's at the beginning of fall and I didn't take into consideration how curvy she would get. My only other option would be to repot the entire plant but I'm trying to avoid it until the beginning of spring. My main question is, would this be an appropriate placement to increase Arial root growth? (Also I'm going back to Lowe's tomorrow to get some Velcro strips instead of zip ties, this was just a test run)

No.
Are you rotating the plant?
a moss pole is supposed to be a vertical extension of the pot. A plant should be able to root inside of the of the pole.
The way you did it, it won’t be able to. Make sure you position the nodes in the way a plant can root inside of the pole.
That soil is way too heavy and compact. You need to mix equal parts potting soil, perlite and pine bark nuggets.

I have one like that I got a few years ago when it was about 3 ft tall. It had a bend in it like in your photo. I thought I could train it. It’s about 7 ft tall now and no matter how I repot it or mount it or wrestle with it it’s only twisted more just to spite me. . The only way I could change it now to cut the top half off.
🤔 💭 might be tough getting her back on that pole 😅A repot and some “gentle” persuasion might do the trick.
if this was my plant, I would repot it so that the newest node (and thus all future nodes) can be firmly attached to the pole. Let me know if you need more details or a drawing or anything OP.
You just need to pull it up and position it so that this side is up against the moss pole and secure the vine to it so it will stay in place and once it feels the moisture it will start to climb
