I grow a lot of hydro lettuce and herbs but have been curious about root veg (radish & beet) done indoors in a hydro system so I tried it out and it works! I used a plastic “wicker” bin filled with 50/50 coco coir and perlite and placed that inside a bigger bin filled with hydro nutrients . Radish seeds were started in a jiffy plug in a seed tray and were placed in the hydro bin at 2 weeks old and these photos were taken at 4 weeks when I harvested. I used tower garden nutrients since that was what I had on hand but switched out to Masterblend for week 4. They taste just like a garden radish! Fun experiment but I likely won’t continue since I prefer to use that real estate under my grow lights for things we eat in abundance (spinach/kale/lettuce) but I wanted to share incase anyone was curious about growing indoor hydroponic root veggies.

Very nice, hydroponics is surprisingly good for growing root vegetables.
