GARDEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLUC) – The Michigan State Police says no one was hurt in a Monday night explosion at an unoccupied home in Garden Township.
The MSP says troopers responded around 9:24 p.m. after reports of a loud explosion at an unknown address. After searching the area, troopers found a damaged home on 18.5 Lane.
Troopers say several neighboring homes sustained damage.
A preliminary investigation shows the explosion might have been caused by a propane leak inside the home that ignited, the MSP said.
The investigation is ongoing.
The MSP Gladstone Post says it was assisted by the MSP Aviation Unit and the Garden Township Fire Department.
