UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Alumni Association’s Virtual Speaker Session connects Penn Staters to University faculty who are leaders in their respective fields. The next event in the series is set for noon on Tuesday, Feb. 24, and will feature extension educator Diane Dallos. The session will focus on the Penn State Extension Master Gardener Program, a statewide, volunteer-driven program that advances the land-grant mission of translating research-based horticultural science into meaningful community education and service.

Register today to learn how the 4,000 trained Master Gardener volunteers contribute more than 197,000 hours annually to public education, environmental stewardship, and community outreach in all 67 counties of the commonwealth. Additionally, Dallos will discuss opportunities for learning, engagement and support for the Master Gardeners. Visit the Alumni Association’s YouTube page for archived Virtual Speaker Sessions.
