Hi everyone, I live in Utah along the Wasatch Front, Hardiness Zone 7a. My backyard is mostly weeds with a little bit of grass here and there, I think the previous owners tore out most of the lawn or maybe let it die and then just let anything grow there before we moved in.
I want to get rid of all of the weeds and grass and plant a yarrow lawn. What are some good ways to do that? I would prefer to avoid herbicides if possible. Could I just till up everything and rake out all the plants?

I wouldn’t bother honestly. A monoculture is still a monoculture and yarrow isn’t going to stand up all that well to family foot traffic in my experience.
Sometimes a lawn is justified and this is one of those times.
