GRAFTON — The Grafton Lions Club is inviting the public to support its community garden, a project that will nourish the community for years to come.

This garden, located at the corner of Lakefield Road and Cheyenne Avenue, will provide fresh produce, a welcoming green space and hands-on learning opportunities for residents of all ages.

“It’s a place where neighbors can connect, volunteers can make a difference and our community can quite literally grow together,” according to a Lions Club statement.

The Grafton Lions Club Foundation hopes the garden can address food scarcity by creating access to fresh vegetables for residents who may lack garden space. It is also a way to directly address health factors such as diabetes and obesity.

To make their vision a reality, the club is raising funds through its Zeffy Fundraising Campaign, which allows 100% of donations to go directly to the project. Contributions will help cover essential costs such as garden beds, soil, tools, plants and accessibility features.

Every donation — large or small — makes a meaningful impact, according to the club.
