Want to sharpen freehand, or ready to learn? The Benchstone, Whetstone, and Guided Field Sharpener from Work Sharp have built-in angle guides, so you can master your edge—no guesswork, just results.
I've had that little one for years, and I love it! However, I bought the precision adjust one, and it doesn't clamp the knife to save my life, and the holder works itself out… complete garbage!
Yeah the guided field sharpener has messed up multiple of my knives because it won’t sharpen the damn blade at all, just scratches the shit out of the finish
A first timer still has to guess a lil, cuz that knife is gonna move up and down and i doubt he is gonna have a steady hand, but i guess practice makes you good, the wicked edge that truly takes the guess work out of it but im not paying 400 bucks and maybe more now with tariffs
Does anybody know if I would be able to use this with my pocket knives because I’ve tried before and it seemed to have worked but I need someone else’s opinion
Idk why but I can't get my precision adjust to make my knives sharp. I'm sticking to the guided field sharpener and hopefully can get the upgraded version with more grits to swap out. I currently have 2 field sharpeners and have loved them and can get a razor sharp edge on my knives easily. For some reason my precision adjust dulled my knives but it did help to set the bevel angle more precisely.
Only real issue I'd fix is the blade angles. It's a fixed 20 on the field sharpener and 20 or 25 on the block with the plates. Can't remember on the stones. Anyway it would be nice if there was a way to adjust the angles or interchangeable guides you could swap in and out. Sure you could free hand but not everyone is proficient or comfortable with that.
Can you get high grit stones….I made plates for the worksharp field sharpener..1000 to 7000..useing sand paper..works like a charm..I get ridiculous razer sharp edges..the worksharp alone I'd the best ever..it will also train you for freehand

I love this system. It makes me not mind sharpening my shit, you know? This thing has made my $12 knife cut like my $400 knives. LOL
А че так угол гуляет?😂😂😂

U.
Done f cred. That blade up
Wrong direction
To make a sharp knife
I’m not spending $400 for a knife, let alone at a knife sharpener. That’s not gonna f…… happen.
Oooooo looks like a Sharpal short. Original.
What would be the best work sharp system for slip joints and smaller pocket knives?
J'aime beaucoup une l'âme bien tranchant ❤. OK je plaisante ❤❤
Until you find out a miceotech has a 25° angle rather than a 20
😎🖖🤙

I went with work sharps belts it’s a lot quicker when you have to do more than a couple knives

Все нетак
Do not like the pivot whatsoever. Need a stationary stone you can learn actual skills on
Дрочеры на заточку самое тупое что отрыгнуло человечество. Они еще более жалкие чем реконстукторы или коммунисты
No honing oil unbelievable
I start at the tip and work the opposite direction. Magnify a blade edge and you can see why
Ok, was soll uns das sagen??
How do you stop the field sharper from sliding?
I use one everyday!
And don’t go anywhere without one🤙🏽
Dumb
Ive never noticed that you need to rest the knife up the upper part of the slope. Smh.

20° on a kiritsuke 😢 it's more like 15 or 18 max
