Inspired by some of the UK’s most cherished landscapes and botanical archives, the collection draws from grand estates, individual plant specimens and heritage floral artefacts. Each design reflects how gardens and outdoor spaces have historically shaped the character of buildings, rooms and interiors.

The wallpapers are produced using a mix of traditional surface printing techniques and modern digital processes, reinforcing Little Greene’s commitment to craftsmanship while allowing flexibility in colour and scale for contemporary interiors.

Key designs include:

Magnolia Blossom – Stylised magnolia trees inspired by specimens at National Trust properties including Nymans, Bodnant, Lanhydrock and Trengwainton. Castle Garden – A mural-style design paying tribute to Vita Sackville-West’s celebrated planting schemes at Sissinghurst Castle. Lily Pads – A graphic, fauna-rich pattern inspired by the lakes at Stackpole Estate in Wales. Mr Straw’s Greenhouse – A playful design referencing the historic greenhouse at the Straw brothers’ Edwardian home in Nottinghamshire. Rose Garden – Based on the pre-1900 shrub roses at Mottisfont Abbey. Moon Daisies – A simplified floral motif with flocked centres, inspired by historic wallpaper at Oxburgh Hall. Rhododendron Walk – A dramatic surface-printed design featuring blooms and pollinating bees. May’s Tulip – A flowing Arts & Crafts–inspired pattern referencing the work of May Morris.

According to Ruth Mottershead, Creative Director at Little Greene, the collection is intentionally eclectic, ranging from understated, small-scale patterns to bold, immersive murals, offering versatility for both residential and heritage-led interior schemes.

The In the Garden collection is available to order now, with samples offered across all designs and colour ways.
