Hi everyone! I need some expert eyes on my Monstera deliciosa.
Location: South Africa (kept in a bright sunroom)She gets about 5 to 6 hours of indirect sunlight thru the glass and the rest of the day the sunroom is bright until around 7pm.
Environment: Mid-summer here, very hot (~30°C/86°F) and dry (~25% humidity).
These brown, crispy spots with yellow "halos" have appeared on 2 new leaves that sprouted from the area where I propagated her a few months ago and today on another older one..
Substrate: It’s in a chunky bark/soil mix.
Pests: I haven't seen anything moving (I have a phobia of insects, so I literally check every single day). I religiously check for pests and never skip a day.
Watering: I water when the first few inches of soil is dry, I check with a chopstick and I bottom water always.
Is this fungal or root rot? Should I be chopping these leaves off or treating the soil? Any advice is appreciated! I am so sad about this and just need my plant to pull through😔
