Any reason to why my Gymnocalycium Mihanovichii cv Black Widow has gone from dark colored to now being very light colored (last two pics). I got it in November and loved how dark it was, it has flowered twice now but has consistently been getting lighter in color. It’s being grown under 800 PPFD 12hrs a day and fertilized once a month.

This looks more like a T-line than a Black widow. BW doesn’t have that kind of ribs/muscles and it’s color. BW would literally be black or dark in tone with smooth ribs and not have those pink variegations in between. Your concern is common for T-lines. The discoloration, usually they’re getting partially sunstressed and dehydrated. And sometimes it’s a sign that they’re about to rot. Check the roots, it might not have been rooting well since you got it.
