






The initial plan was to let the clump fuse but there were just too many flaws (in my opinion) so I decided to separate them while I still could. On of the trunks needed to be chopped more than I wanted in order to maneuver it out of the middle but I'm happy with the other two and that one will eventually grow into something. They'll get trimmed and styled next year after they recover.
The last picture shows the 3 bonus root cuttings I decided to save because I didn't have the patience left to pot them all up. The two "stumps" are the bottom several inches of the trunks and I'm curious to see if/how they grow back.
(Also ignore the oversized glazed pots, these were just what I had on hand that fit the roots without reducing them too much)
