Without resorting to manually digging each one and using carcinogenic, non environmentally friendly herbicide (so glysophate is out), how would you get rid of these 2 types of weed?
I’d use a shovel, personally. It’s either manual removal or herbicide, take your pick.

Cover them with something? Depends if you want something else to grow there.

You could cut it low, then place a sheet of black plastic over the top for a few weeks. The hest and exclusion of light will kill it, and any other plants under the shee at the same time.

You can try covering them with black ag plastic. They get hot under the sun and die in a week or so. Works well in Qld but it might not be hot enough wherever you live.
